Initial Command Structure:
Ship's captain: Lieutenant Commander Takahashi Masao [56]. Assigned to Kure Naval District.

8 December 1941:
Training in Inland Sea.

4 April-5 May 1942:
At Kure for conversion to target ship.

20 May:
Arrived Yokosuka, then target ship for bomb and torpedo attacks in Tokyo Bay.

27 June:
Lieutenant Commander Takahashi (to C.O. SUMIDA) relieved by Commander Dobashi Takeyoshi [50] (prev. AKAGI damage-control officer).

28 June:
Arrived Ominato, then continued as target ship for air attacks.

10 July:
Commander Dobashi relieved by Lieutenant Commander Aono Shigeo [59].

20 July 1942:
Removed from Navy List as destroyer; re-rated wireless target ship.

August 1945:
In Yokosuka, damaged and bottomed due to flooding, at end of war.
