30 November 1944:
Completed at Maizuru; assigned same date to Desron 11, Combined Fleet, for training. Ship's captain: Lieutenant Commander (promoted same date) Tanaka Ichiro [64].

15 February 1945:

Departed Moji, escorting convoy to Shanghai; then Shanghai-area patrol/escort duties.

15 March:

Assigned to Desdiv 53 (SAKURA, NARA, TSUBAKI, YANAGI, TACHIBANA, KEYAKI), Desron 11, Combined Fleet.

1-20 April:

Desron 11 reassigned to Second Fleet, then back to Combined Fleet.

10 April:
Medium damage:
struck mine in Yangtse River.

30 May:

Departed Shanghai, escorting convoy to Moji. Following docking for repairs, remained in Inland Sea through end of war.

15 July:

Desdiv 53 deactivated.

24 July:
Medium damage:
near Okayama due to air attack; towed to Kure. Lieutenant Commander Tanaka, injured in the attack, relieved by Lieutenant (s.g.) Honda Toshiharu [64] (C.O. NARA, assigned added duty as C.O. TSUBAKI and NIRE).

August:
Surrendered at Kure at end of war.

30 November 1945:

Removed from Navy List.

28 July 1948:

Broken up at Kure.
