4-8 December 1941:
Departed Mako, then with Hong Kong invasion force.

Docked at Hong Kong for repairs.

10 April:
15th Escort Squadron deactivated; reassigned directly to Second China Expeditionary Fleet.

15-25 September:
Escorted convoys from Hong Kong to Palau and back.

26 September-14 October:
Escorted troop convoys from Hong Kong via Palau to Rabaul, then Rabaul-Shortlands patrol/escort duties.

6-8 November:
Escorted troop convoy from Rabaul to Shortlands.

21-24 November:
Emergency food transport run from Rabaul to Lae and back.

24 December 1942-7 January 1943:
Escorted convoys from Rabaul to Palau and back.

16 January:
Escorted transport YAMASHIMO MARU carrying AA units to Kolombangara.

17 January:
Escorted TSUGARU carrying AA units to Rekata.

22 January:
With KUROSHIO, escorted TSUGARU on troop transport run to Rekata.

22 January:
With Subchaser No. 23, escorted transport TOA MARU No. 2 on troop transport run to Kolombangara.

16 February:
With Subchaser No. 18, sank USS AMBERJACK (SS-219) off New Britain.

31 March-3 April:
Steamed from Rabaul to Truk.

1 April:
Reassigned to 2nd Surface Escort Division, Fourth Fleet.

14-21 April:
Steamed from Truk to Yokosuka..

26 April:
Departed Yokosuka, then Saipan-Truk-Rabaul convoy escort operations.

8-15 May:
Escorted Convoy 4508 from Truk to Yokosuka. On 10 May assisted and rescued survivors of torpedoed transports KINAI MARU and TATSUTAKE MARU

17-21 July:
Escorted Convoy 1172 from Truk to Rabaul.

1-23 November:
Escorted convoy from Kwajalein via Truk to Sasebo.

15 November:
2nd Surface Escort Division reassigned to General Escort Command.

30 November-18 December:
Docked at Maizuru for repairs.

9-22 January 1944:
Escorted convoy from Yokosuka via Chichi-jima to Truk.

25 January-5 February:
Escorted convoy from Truk to Yokosuka, then Yokosuka-Saipan convoy escort duties.

3 March:
Minor damage: (cause unknown) at Saipan.

19-30 March:
Docked at Yokosuka for repairs.

1-23 April:
Escorted troop convoy Matsu No. 4 from Yokosuka to Saipan and back.

1-9 June:
Escorted convoy from Saipan to Truk.

21 June-13 July:
Escorted convoys from Truk via Davao and Cebu to Manila.

18 July:
Reassigned to 1st Surface Escort Division, General Escort Command.

24 July-3 August:
Escorted convoys from Manila via Takao to Sasebo.

5-7 August:
Docked at Sasebo for repairs.

15 August-22 September:
Escorted convoys from Sasebo via Keelung and Takao to Singapore.

2-9 October:
Escorted convoy from Singapore to Manila.

17-25 October:
Escorted convoy from Manila to Brunei. On 24 October assisted NAGANAMI in inspecting abandoned USS DARTER (SS-227).

27 October-5 November:
Escorted convoy from Brunei via Miri to Cape St. Jacques.

10-17 November:
Departed Cape St. Jacques, escorting Convoy MI-20 to Takao. Sunk: torpedoed by USS GUNNEL (SS-253) 140 miles ENE of Cape Tourane (16-56N, 110-30E).

10 January 1945:
Removed from Navy List.
