KINKA MARU was completed as a cargo ship in 1938 for Kokusai Kisen, K.K. (International Steamship Co., Ltd), Tokyo. Her sister was
KINRYU MARU. KINKA MARU was sunk by a TF 38's Curtiss "Helldiver" SBC dive bomber off Bataan, Philippines in '44.
KINRYU MARU was bombed and sunk off Guadalcanal, Solomons in '42.
