Accomodation: Pilot and radio operator/navigator in enclosed cockpit.
- One Aichi [Ha-70] 10 (twin-coupled Aichi Atsuta 30s) twenty-four cylinder liquid-cooled engine, rated at 3,400 hp for take-off and 3,100 hp at 3,000 m, driving a six-blade metal propeller (R2Y1).
- Two 1,320 kg thrust Ne-330 axial-flow turbojets (R2Y2).
