SS CANADIAN MILLER was completed in 1919 as a cargo ship by Canadian Vickers Ltd., Québec, Canada as a 5,439 ton cargo ship for the Canadian Government Merchant Marine, Ottawa. In '41, she was sold to Okada Gumi K. K., Osaka and renamed ENJU MARU. In '43, she was requisitioned by the Imperial Army (IJA) as an Army/Civilian shared employment cargo ship. Also in '43. she was released by the IJA back to her owners and in Oct '43, she was requisitioned by the Imperial Navy (IJN) as a cargo ship. In Aug '44, she was attacked by three waves of aircraft from USN Task Group 58.1. The second raid bombed and sunk ENJU MARU.
