ZUIHO MARU - Class Auxiliary storeship


PICTURE WANTED

This class consists of ZUIHO MARU only (ZUISHO and ZUIUN MARUs had slightly different dimensions). Completed in Mar ‘38 as a 222-tons trawler, wooden hulled but fitted with refrigeration machinery, for Nippon Suisan K.K. She was requisitioned by the IJN in Dec ’38 and registered in Oct ’39 as an auxiliary stores ship. Released to her owners in Aug ’42, she survived the war and was ultimately broken up by 1951.
