Yusho Maru Class Rescue and Salvage Ship

YUSHO MARU was completed as a salvage vessel in 1928. She was requisitioned and converted by the IJN to a rescue and salvage ship in 1941. In Sep '43, YUSHO MARU struck a mine and sank in the Makassar Strait.

Propulsion: 1 reciprocating steam turbine engine, 1 shaft, maximum speed 14.6 knots.
