Yukikawa Maru Class


(YUKIKAWA MARU, prewar)

In 1941, cargo ship YUKIKAWA MARU was completed for Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd. followed in '42 by sister TSUKIKAWA MARU also completed for Kawasaki. YUKIKAWA MARU was requisitioned by the IJN, but survived the war. She saw commerical service until '71. TSUKIKAWA MARU was requisitioned by the IJA and was sunk by an American submarine in '44.,
