YASUKUNI and TOYOKUNI MARUs were completed in 1942 as Japan's first class of wartime ore carriers by Ishikawajima Jukogyo
K.K. of Tokyo. YASUKUNI MARU was destroyed by an American submarine in Dec '44 and TOYOKUNI MARU was sunk
by an American submarine in Mar '44.
