Yasukuni Maru Class Auxiliary Submarine Depot Ship

(Yasukuni Maru as a prewar NYK liner)

Requisitioned by the IJN in 1940, the YASUKUNI MARU was converted to a submarine depot ship in 1941. She remained in this role until torpedoed and sunk off Truk in January 1944.
