UNKAI MARU No. 1 - Class Auxiliary collier

This class consists of UNKAI MARU No. 1 only, completed in 1932 for Nakamura G.K. She was requisitioned in Sep ‘41 by the IJN and registered in Dec ‘41 as an auxiliary collier. In Jan ’42, she was torpedoed and by an American submarine, abandoned and left drifting, and ultimately bombed and sunk by an IJNAF aircraft off Katsuura Bay.
