TAIMEI MARU was completed in 1936 by Yokohama dock as a 2,883-ton cargo ship for Kinkai Yusen K. K. of Tokyo. In Mar '43 KOYO MARU was bombed and sunk by TAIMEI MARU is bombed and sunk by British and Australian air attack in Huon Gulf, New Guinea.
