This class consists of TAIJUN MARU only. Completed in ‘18 for
Nagasaki Kaiun K.K. She was requisitioned on 6 Dec ’41 and converted to an
auxiliary transport. TAIJUN MARU was torpedoed and sunk by US aircraft in
Apr ’42 in Lae Harbor, New Guinea.
