This class consists of TAIAN MARU. She was completed in 1916 as HANNA NIELSEN for Stolt-Nielsen B. & Sønner A/S, Haugesund of Norway.
In 1926, she was sold to Taiyo Kaiun K. K. (Ocean Transport Co., Ltd) of Kobe, Japan and renamed TAIAN MARU.
In Oct '43, TAIAN MARU was torpedoed and sunk by an American submarine.
