Numbered T.143

14 August 1944:
Kawanami Kogyo. Laid down as a 950-ton T. 103-class landing ship tank.

20 September 1944:
Launched.

5 September 1944:
T. 142 is classified a 2nd class Yusokan.

25 November 1944:
Completed. Lt Yasumoto Yoshio is appointed Commanding Officer. T-143 is assigned to the Combined Fleet's First Transport Squadron, Sasebo.

7 December 1944:
T-143 departs Sasebo for Kagoshima.

15 December 1944:
Arrives at Kagoshima. Docks with LSTs T.114 and T-115.

17 December 1944:
Departs Kagoshima with LSTs T.114 and T-115 and arrives at Yamakawa.

18 December 1944:
Departs Yamakawa and arrives at Kasari Bay.

21 December 1944:
Departs Kasari Bay and arrives at Kojinya.

22 December 1944:
Departs Kojinya and arrives at Naha, Okinawa.

23 December 1944:
Departs Naha and arrives at Kerama.

24 December 1944:
Departs Kerama.

23 December 1944:
Departs Kerama and arrives at Keelung, Formosa.

December 1944:
Departs Keelung.

30 December 1944:
Departs arrives at Kaohsiung, Formosa.

7 February 1945:
Departs Kaohsiung.

8 February 1945:
SE of the Penghu Islands, Pescadores. Abandoned for unknown reasons.

3 March 1945:
T-143 is bombed and sunk by USAAF 5th Air Force North American B-25 “Mitchell” medium bombers at 23-35N, E 121-03E.

10 May 1945:
Removed from the Navy List.
