Urasaki. Laid down Kawanami Kogyo, K. K. as Hull No. 1528, a 950-ton T. 101-class landing ship tank.

5 February 1944.
Numbered T.128.

10 February 1944.
Launched.

18 March 1944.
Completed. Captain Yoshiyuki Saito is the Commanding Officer.

25 March 1944.
Departs Sasebo for Yokosuka,

28 April 1944:
At 0600, T.128 departs Kisarazu Naval Base, Tokyo in convoy Higashi-Matsu (“East Pine”) No. 7 with T.150 and ASAKA MARU bound for Palau; ASAHISAN, BINGO, MEIRYU, MIHO MITAKESAN, MOJI, OKINAWA ,TATSUHARU and YAMATAMA MARUs bound for Saipan; BOKUYO and KOSHIN MARUs bound for Yap and TAITO MARU bound for Chichi-Jima. The convoy is escorted by kaibokan NOMI, CD-12, CD-18, CD-22 and subchasers CH-16 and CH-18.

1 May 1944:
Carolines. En route to the Palau's anchorage, T.128 and T.150 are damaged by mines.

E 5 May 1944:
T.128, T.150, ASAKA MARU and CD-12 arrive at Palau.

4 June 1944:
110 miles NE of Molokai Island, Halmaheras, nearTofubei Island. T.128 is bombed and sunk by USAAF Consolidated B-24 “Liberator” heavy bombers at 04-09N, 129.45E.

10 November 1944:
Removed from the Navy List.
