SHONAN, HONAN and SEINAN MARUs were completed in 1942 as Japan's second class of wartime ore carriers by Mitsubishi Jukogyo K. K.
K.K. of Kobe. SHONAN MARU was sunk by an American submarine in Aug '44, HONAN MARU was sunk by an American submarine in Apr '44 and SEINAN MARU was sunk by an American submarine in Jan' 44.
