Shoei (Matsue) Maru Class Auxiliary Repair Ship

Cargo ship SHOEI MARU was requisitioned in 1941 and converted to an auxiliary repair and salvage ship. She operated at Truk, Carolines and Rabaul, New Britain. SHOEI MARU was sunk at off New Ireland by an American submarine in May 1942.
