SHINRYU MARU was completed in 1918 as a 3,175-ton cargo ship for Kishimoto Kisen Co., Ltd. of Osaka. SHINRYU MARU’s sisters were DOVER, GENCHU, GOZAN, EASTERN BELL, EASTERN MAID, TAIZAN, YAKUMO and YUBAE MARUs

SHINRYU MARU was sunk in '44 by an American submarine.
