OSEI MARU Class - Auxiliary netlayer


SANSUI MARU, painting, prewar

This class consists of SANSUI MARU only, completed in Jun ‘34 for Setsuyo Shosen K.K. She was requisitioned in Nov ‘41 by the IJN. Ship was converted in Jan ‘42 to an auxiliary anti-submarine netlayer. She survived the war, resumed her commercial service, was sold in Nov ’67 to Sano Yasu Shoji and dismantled that same month at Utsumi-Machi, Kagawa Prefecture.
