SAN RAMON MARU prewar as a Mitsubishi Shoji tanker

Completed in 1935, SAN RAMON MARU was sunk off the Goto Islands, Japan by an American submarine in Nov '43. Sister, SAN CLEMENTE MARU was completed in 1937. Requisitioned and converted to an auxiliary oiler in 1941, she was torpedoed and sunk by an American submarine in May '43.
