Noshiro Maru Class

In 1941, the passenger-cargo ship NOSHIRO MARU was requisitioned from the Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) Line by the IJN and converted to an armed merchant cruiser. She was rerated a transport in 1942 and sunk at Manila in 1944.
