Nissho Maru No. 12 Class Transport

(NISSHO MARU No. 12 – Berend van der Wal Collection)


This class consists of NISSHO MARU No. 12 only, completed in ‘36 for Marusho Kaiun K.K. as a 1,199-tons cargo ship. She was requisitioned in Oct ’38 by the IJN and converted to an auxiliary gunboat. She survived the war, renamed KINSHO MARU No. 12 in ’60 and ultimately scrapped in Mar ’66.
