This class consists of NAMPO MARU only, completed in Aug ‘40 for Awanokuni Kyodo Kisen K.K. as a 1,206-tons cargo ship. She was requisitioned in Dec ‘40 by the IJN, converted the following month to an auxiliary gunboat and torpedoed and sunk by an American submarine in Jun ‘42.
