NAGISAN MARU Class Auxiliary Transports


This class consists of NAGISAN and NASUSAN MARUs respectively completed in May and Sep 31 for Mitsui Bussan K.K. Both were requisitioned by the IJN and converted to auxiliary transports. NASUSAN MARU was converted to an emergency tanker in Jan 43. Both were sunk, NAGISAN MARU by USN Aircraft in Mar 44, NASUSAN MARU by a US submarine in Jun 44.
