MINATO MARU Class - Auxiliary stores ship


(MINATO MARU, prewar)

This class consists of MINATO MARU only. Completed in 1934 as a 664-tons deep-sea fishing trawler for Kyodo Gyogyo K.K., she was requisitioned by the IJN in Nov ’41 and converted in Dec ’41 to an auxiliary stores ship. She was bombed and sunk by an USN aircraft in Nov ’43 off Ocean Island, Kiribati.
