MIKAGE MARU No. 18 Class Auxiliary Transports

This class consists of MIKAGE MARU No. 18 and HINO MARU No. 3 respectively completed in Feb ’37 for Muko Kisen K. K. and Mar ‘38 for Hinomaru Kisen K.K. Both were requisitioned by the IJN, MIKAGE MARU No. 18 being converted to an auxiliary collier/oiler and HINO MARU No. 3 to an auxiliary transport. Both were torpedoed and sunk by US submarines, MIKAGE MARU No. 18 in May ’44 and HINO MARU No. 3 Dec ’42.
