Kuroshio Maru Class Auxiliary Oiler

(KUROSHIO MARU )

Completed in 1939, KUROSHIO MARU transported oil between the United States and Japan until the summer of 1941 when she was requisitioned by the IJN. She then served as an oiler in Southeast Asia. In January 1945, KUROSHIO MARU was sunk off Formosa by Task Force 38 aircraft.
