Laid down a 6,769-ton cargo ship and named HOKUSEI MARU. After launching, sold to Kokusai Kisen, K. K. (International Steamship Co.), Kobe.
Renamed KURAMA MARU. She was requisitioned by the Imperial Army in '41. In Feb '42, she was torpedoed and sunk by an American submarine.
