KOYASAN MARU and sister KURAMASAN MARU were completed as cargo ships in 1927 for the Mitsui Line, Tokyo. KOYASAN MARU was lost prewar. KURAMASAN MARU was torpedoed and sunk in Makassar Strait. in '44 by an American submarine.
