KOAN MARU Class Auxiliary Water Tankers

This class consists of KOAN MARU only, completed in 1936 for Dairen Kisen K.K. She was requisitioned by the IJN in Sep 41 and converted in Oct 41 to an auxiliary water tanker. KOAN MARU was bombed and sunk at Simpson Harbor, Rabaul, New Britain by American and allied land-based aircraft in Jan 44.
