This class consists of IWASHIRO MARU only completed in Oct ’39 for Kaiyo Kisen K.K. She was requisitioned in Sep ‘41 by the IJN and was registered in Dec ’41 as an auxiliary collier/oiler. She was torpedoed and sunk in Jan ‘43 by an American submarine in the Marshalls.
