HOKKAI MARU- Class Auxiliary storeship


(HAKUREI MARU, sistership of HOKKAI MARU, prewar)

This class consists of HOKKAI, HAKUREI and TOKO MARUs, all completed in 1934 for Shinko Suisan KK. TOKO MARU was renamed in Sep ’41 TOKO MARU No. 2 GO. All were requisitioned by the IJN in Aug ’41 and converted to auxiliary store ships. They were all sunk from various causes between Jan ‘43 and Feb ‘45.
