HINO MARU No. 2-Class Auxiliary Transport


(HINO MARU No. 2, prewar)

This class consists of HINO MARU No. 2 only, completed in Dec 35 for Shokuen Kaiso K.K. She was requisitioned by the IJN in Dec 41 and first converted to an auxiliary netlayer. In Mar 42, she was converted to an auxiliary gunboat and in Oct 43 to an auxiliary transport. She was bombed and sunk by USN Aircraft in May 44.
