(HAKUSAN MARU)
In 1944, HAKUSAN MARU was requisitioned by the Imperial Japanese Army. She left Japan for Siberia, USSR where she loaded 2,200-tons of Red Cross relief supplies sent for distribution to Allied
prisoners of war and civilian internees. In Aug '45, HAKUSAN MARU hit a mine and sank, but post war she was raised, repaired and returned to service. She was finally scrapped in 1965.
