6 November 1944:
Laid down at Mitsubishi's Kobe Yard as a Sensuikan Yu Sho (Small Supply Submarine) No. 4612, (SS) Type.

15 April 1945:
Launched.

20 April 1945:
Lt Hirota Hideo (67)(former torpedo officer of I-363) is appointed the Chief Equipping Officer (CEO).

14 July 1945:
Lt Kawamura Akira (69)(former navigating officer of RO-111) is appointed the CEO.

2 September 1945:
Kobe. HA-112 is surrendered to the Allies. She is 95 percent complete.

15 April 1946:
Off Kii Suido. Scuttled with HA-110. [1]

[1] Sources conflict on the HA-112's fate. Some have her as scrapped at Mitsubishi Kobe Shipyard.
