Delagoa Maru Class Transport

This class consists of DELAGOA, DURBAN and DAKAR MARUs. All three were completed as passenger-cargo ships for the Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) Line. DELAGOA MARU was sunk in '43 by an American submarine off Japan, DURBAN MARU was sunk in '44 by an American submarine off Vichy French Indochina and DAKAR MARU was sunk by an American aircraft off the Philippines in '44.
