DAIKOKUTEN MARU Class - Auxiliary netlayer


(DAIKOKUTEN MARU, postwar)

This class consists of DAIKOKUTEN MARU only, completed in Jun ‘27 for Tohoku Shosen K.K. She was requisitioned in Dec ‘41 by the IJN and converted in Jan ’42 to an auxiliary anti-submarine netlayer. She survived the war and resumed commercial service. Renamed TENSYA MARU No. 15 in ’60 and converted to a motor vessel in ’61, she was ultimately broken up in ’67.
