Nagasaki. Laid down at Mitsubishi Shipbuilding, Ltd.

30 December 1944:
Launched and numbered CD-186.

15 February 1945:
Completed and registered in the IJN.

2 April 1945:
Near Amami-O-Shima. Carrier planes from Rear Admiral (later Admiral/Chm, JCS) Arthur W. Radford’s (USNA '16)Task Group 58.4 sink CD-186, fast transport T. 17 and landing ship T. 145. The planes also damage subchaser CH-49 and landing ship T. 146 at 28-07N, 129-09E.

25 May 1945:
Removed from the Navy List.
