ARGUN MARU was completed by the Osaka Machinery Works Sakurashima factory in 1920 as a 6,609 ton passenger/cargo ships built for Osaka Shosen K. K. (OSK) Line, Osaka. In 1943, ARGUN MARU was torpedoed and sunk in the East China Sea by an American submarine.
