Akagi Maru Class

In 1941, the passenger-cargo ship AKAGI MARU was requisitioned from the Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) Line by the IJN and converted to an armed merchant cruiser at Mitsubishi's Nagasaki shipyard. She was rerated a transport in 1943 and sunk at Truk in 1944.
